If your child will be doing their own hair, write a list of hair care products, tools and hair decorations before traveling. Check the items off the list while packing to ensure that nothing is left behind. Making sure your child has all of their own, personal hair care needs before leaving decreases the likelihood of them having to go to a store and buy more products or use the products and styling tools of others which are more than likely not suited for their hair texture or hair type.

Please be aware that the scalp is a microbial habitat. Therefore, hair bugs such as lice, mites and scalp fungus are contagious. Absolutely, no sharing of combs, brushes, hats and scarves. Be sure to send these items with your child and explain they are not to be shared.
